Stop by the shop tonight for our weekly free wine tasting! Tonight we’ll be tasting two wines, La Forcine Muscadet and Clos de Torribas Tempranillo Crianza.
La Forcine Muscadet is made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape, this is the absolutely perfect with shellfish wine. Notes of pineapple, peaches, honey, and lavender also make this a good quaffing wine. It offers crackling lime and sea salt notes – you can almost smell the ocean on the nose, The finish is brisk and tangy with good length. Muscadet is a natural aperitif that goes with a variety of dishes and pairs extremely well with fresh, briny oysters.
Clos de Torribas Tempranillo Crianza has a brilliant dark red colour with touches of ochre. The oak stands out coupled with intense spice. If we swirl the wine in the glass, we get aromas which are typical of the Tempranillo grape variety as well as fruits of the forest. A gentle palate with moderate ageing. The oak is well balanced to maintain the wine’s freshness. Touches of cedar and oak. As the wine ages, smooth tannins come out in the retro nasal stage.
As always, tasting wines will be 15% off Friday and Saturday only!
