Five Vintners Wines
Chief bung scrubber and bottles washer, Winemaker and Proprietress
I am the great-great granddaughter of Jacob Beringer and the fifth generation in my family to make wine in Napa Valley. I started working at Raymond Vineyards when I was just 10 years old alongside my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters and cousins. I have bottled wine, washed some more, filled barrels, emptied barrels, bottled some more, worked in the lab, accounting office, tasting room and traveled all over the United States selling wine. When it came time for college, I moved as far away as I dared from St. Helena and attended Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. I later earned my MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. As a graduate student I cultivated my entrepreneurial spirit and, after several years working outside the family business, I was drawn back to Napa Valley. In 2001 I set out on my own as a grape grower and winemaker and established Five Vintners Wines. With just one acre planted to Sauvignon Blanc, and using fruit from a handful of select grape growers for Cabernet Suavignon and Zinfandel, I produce 2,000 cases of wine each year. Today, my children join me in the vineyard and cellar in much the same way I joined my family in the early years at Raymond Vineyard. It is my dream to share with them a passion for life, family and friends and to teach them that it is possible to love your work!
